A RARE CASED .177 PULL-TO-COCK BOLT-ACTION AIR-PISTOL, UNSIGNED, no visible serial number
probably Eisenwerke Gaggenau pattern but Belgian produced circa 1880, with integral cast-iron tapering and sighted round 6in. smoothbore barrel, one-piece octagonal breech and receiver, the left hand side marked 'BREVET SADA', the right 'PATENT', small bolt operated single shot action with pull cocking rod concealed in the integral chequered cast-iron birds-head butt, trigger blade mounted on a cast scroll engraved web and with applied cast guard, the whole retaining the majority of its original factory nickel-plate and complete with its believed original wood box lined in purple velvet (faded to brown), block in the bottom right corner of tray for six darts and together with its original cast iron 'D' ring cocking aid combined with dart puller and key for removing piston
